On the afternoon of April 15th, HAGL Practiced at 7th Military Region (HCMC) for rehearsal for the AFC group stage match against Yokohama F. Marinos. Champions League Tomorrow (April 16th) at 6pm.

Bau Duc arrived at the HAGL players’ stadium during this afternoon’s training session.

The owner of HAGL is waiting for the home team to fight for the honour of Vietnamese football with all their heart and soul.

Before the tournament was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, HAGL finished first in the 2021 V-League, earning a spot in Asia’s highest playground. According to coach Kiatisak, HAGL must struggle to meet the expectations of the home crowd.

“In football, defense alone cannot win. HAGL will try to find a strategy to overcome them, while focusing on offense, defense and state transitions,” stressed coach Chiatisak. After the previous tactical training session, Coach Chiatisak mainly let his students relax. He and the coaching staff organized several games to bring a comfortable atmosphere to the players.

Fan Qing and his teammates were in a good mood before the game against the Yokohama Mariners. This is the first time in 17 years that HAGL has returned to the highest competition in Asia. Coach Chiatisak said that the 6 games in the AFC Champions League group stage are an opportunity for HAGL players to improve their level and think about playing.

Players practice more short bursts.

The whole HAGL team is in good spirits.

Xuan Chang (No. 6) is one of the most interesting players. The midfielder, born in 1995, played in the K-League for 2 years and was evaluated as a dangerous attack by HAGL by Jeonbuk Hyundai Motor coach Kim Sang-sik.

Tien Dat is one of the young players who could get a chance. Coach Chiatisak stressed that HAGL has its own plans for all 31 players in the AFC Champions League this season.
