Following the success of eSports at the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi on May 23, 2022, in the presence of the 32nd Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (CAMSGOC) and the Vietnam Olympic Committee, discussions and agreements were reached , Vietnam Esports and Entertainment Association (VIRESA) and Cambodia Esports Federation (EFC) signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement.
According to the content of the signing, VIRESA will fully support, pass on experience and cheer, so that the Cambodia E-Sports Federation can successfully hold e-sports at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games.
VIRESA President Mr. Nguyen Xuan Cuong said: “With our resources, experience and partners at the 31st SEA Games, we are ready to support EFC at all stages: selection of competition content, publication of technical books, selection and training of national teams, training of coaches- referees, introduction of sponsors and eventual organization The highest quality event in eSports 32nd SEA Games.”

Esports at the 31st Southeast Asian Games will be held from May 13 to May 22, 2022, with a total of 8 subjects and 10 medal content. The Vietnamese delegation won 4 gold medals and 3 silver medals, ranking first in the group. Vietnam’s professionalism in organization and hospitality has left a good image with international friends.
The 32nd Southeast Asian Games is scheduled to take place in Cambodia from May 5, 2023 to May 16, 2023, with 11 participating countries. Esports is one of 40 sports selected to compete for medals. This is the third time in a row that eSports has become an official sport.
