L’Equipe reports Mbappe is open to extending his contract with PSG. The leading French sports site thinks that Mbappe is happy again in the PSG shirt, so it can turn the situation upside down to stay, instead of joining Real Madrid in the form of a big transfer.

After PSG’s 3-1 victory over St-Etienne, Mbappe has scored 156 goals for the Parc des Princes team in all competitions, thereby matching Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s achievement at PSG.

“It’s special that I’m equal to Ibrahimovic,” Mbappe shared after the match. Asked if he wanted to surpass Cavani’s 200-goal record at PSG, Mbappe replied: “Let’s see what happens in the future.”

L’Equipe considered the statement from Mbappe as a “wink” to open negotiations with the PSG leadership .

Information from L’Equipe is attracting attention in the European sports press. Leading Spanish newspapers, Marca and Mundo Deportivo, quoted information from L’Equipe, and made their own comments on the situation of the most awaited transfer this summer.

Mundo Deportivo believes that Real is still calmly waiting for Mbappe’s decision. “Vultures” do not want Mbappe to be pressured to go or stay. Mbappe has the right to self-determination, but he is temporarily putting his future aside to focus on dedicating to PSG.

PSG will rematch Real Madrid in the second leg of the 1/8 Champions League round on March 10. After that match, Mbappe’s future soon became clear.

This season, Mbappe played 34 games, scored 24 goals and provided 17 assists for PSG. The French player’s performance is still the most impressive in the trio of superstars Lionel Messi – Neymar – Mbappe of PSG from the beginning of the 2021/22 season.

Mbappe scored the only goal to help PSG take advantage of Real in the first leg. Before St-Etienne, the striker born in 1998 scored a double, helping PSG win 3-1.

Transfer Markt is valuing Mbappe 160 million euros. The actual transfer value of the French international is estimated at no less than 200 million euros. It will be a historic bargain for Real if they recruit Mbappe without spending money.
